She wears a lot of animal prints and bright colours and there’s one particular outfit (shown in the image to the right) worn by Alabama that I’ve always adored and which has been an big inspiration for my own fashion choices.
This outfit brings together punk, retro and casual styles and the colours and patterns seem to compliment each other really well.
So, thanks to True Romance, here’s today’s ‘style profile’. Enjoy!
Start with a gorgeous leopard print coat. You can go for vintage or new, whichever you prefer. There’s been a resurgence in the popularity of leopard print coats over the last 1-2 years meaning you can get some great styles brand new and don’t have to find a used coat to get great shape and quality. (If buying new please choose faux fur – animals shouldn’t be dying for fashion)
(Tip: eBay is a great place to find vintage leopard faux fur coats but you may find there’s a lot of competition for vintage coats so be prepared to bid, bid, bid or just buy new)
Under the coat, a plain blue hoodie (hooded jacket/sweater), either a full pullover or a zip-up…
Then some blue denim jeans turned up at the bottom. There’s always a wide variety of jeans styles to choose from so go with your preference, but Alabama seems to be wearing a more relaxed fit (loose but not baggy).
And top it off (or should that be bottom it off?) with some classic plain black Converse Chuck Taylor All Star High Tops!
I hope you’ll be inspired by this iconic movie fashion We’ll be doing more alternative clothing style profile’s soon (and there’s a good chance we’ll do more style profile articles on Alabama too) so subscribe to stay up to date on our latest posts. Thanks for reading.
